How do you make the forming process more transparent and reliable? BERG has the answer. With BERGtronic, we demonstrate how intelligent sensor technology enhances existing die clamping systems. The sensor module, developed in collaboration with Fraunhofer IWU, was therefore also the centrepiece of our appearance at EuroBLECH.
Sensors detect even the slightest elastic deformations in the press slide. A software developed by Fraunhofer IWU analyses the data and identifies process-related deviations at an early stage. Potential errors can thus be recognised before they lead to defective parts or tool damages. The straightforward retrofitting makes BERGtronic a practical solution for greater transparency and process reliability.
Its use at Magna Body & Chassis Germany shows that this technology has already proven its worth in industrial production: Magna has been successfully making use of BERGtronic in its demanding production conditions of press hardening since March 2026. A visit of Magna representatives at EuroBLECH gave us the opportunity to talk about the latest developments for the system.

In addition to smart clamping technology, BERG also presented its new catalogue for forming technology: with a modern design, clearly structured layout and an updated presentation of our range of die clamps and moving bolster clamping systems.
BERGtronic and our versatile portfolio of clamping technology will show you how to take tried-and-tested technology one step further – for greater process reliability, improved efficiency, and forming technology that is truly ready for the future.
