Focus on service: BERG makes Miele’s clamping systems fit for the future

31.07.2026

Our clamping systems perform hardest work in our customers’ forming machines every day – often over many years. To keep them working reliably in long term, we recommend regular maintenance and modernisation. As a manufacturer, we offer our customers quick expert service adapted precisely to their requirements.

A current example is our service project carried out at Miele’s press shop in Gütersloh. On site, our service team performed maintenance and modernisation work on a total of 33 hydromechanical clamping units that have been operating reliably for over 15 years. The aim was to adapt the clamping systems to today’s environmental and process requirements and therefore increase their level of automation and operational reliability.

The retrofit was conducted in close consultation with the responsible parties at Miele and was precisely aligned with the production schedule. This meant that the entire project could be completed without any additional effort on the part of the customer and without unplanned production interruptions.

The result: requirement-based optimisation of the clamping systems in use and greater process stability while maintaining consistently high workpiece quality. This enables existing plants to be modernised cost-effectively and prepared for future requirements – a win-win situation for all involved.

The feedback from Miele has likewise been fully positive. Mr. Martinez (Press Shop | Business Unit Laundry) particularly highlights the quick and straightforward process, as well as the flexible appointment arrangements.
