BERG’s investment in the future: modernising our machinery for greater competitiveness

07.01.2026

Despite challenging economic times, BERG is setting a clear course for the future: We are modernising our machinery to become even more powerful and competitive. With two new machines, we are specifically expanding our capacities in the turning and milling segment, thereby laying the foundation for higher productivity and greater flexibility in production. All turning and milling machines have also been relocated to improve parts flow and strengthen teamwork.

Another important step is the integration of a robot arm (Robo2Go), which significantly increases machine running times through automatic loading. This allows us to optimise machine utilisation systematically and deploy our staff even more effectively.

We are particularly proud that the complete reorganisation of our machine park was largely implemented on our own initiative – i. e. exclusively by our own team. Our employees know the processes and requirements first-hand and were therefore able to tailor the layout precisely to our actual needs. In addition to shorter coordination channels and greater process efficiency, this brings a very tangible additional benefit: The modernisation process was significantly more cost-effective because we did not have to commission an external service provider.

In the long term, these measures will strengthen our competitiveness and create a modern manufacturing environment that is optimised for the demands of the future.
