Time-tested, cost-effective, unbeatable: We’re celebrating the 20th anniversary of the SSKV gripper

06.06.2025

For now two decades, our force-amplifying SK gripper has been a reliable solution for clamping steep taper tools – in a wide range of applications from fine machining to heavy-duty cutting. Despite the widespread use of interfaces such as HSK and PSC, the steep taper remains a frequently used tool interface – primarily due to its economic efficiency and high compatibility with existing tool stocks.

The SSKV gripper was specially developed for applications where high clamping forces are required with a compact spindle design. Thanks to integrated force amplification, the entire tool clamping unit can be designed to save space – ideal for use in motor and gear-driven spindles. Reduced actuation forces also allow the use in modular spindles, suitable for HSK and PSC sizes.

Advantages for you at a glance:

  • high clamping force transmission in small installation space
  • compatible pull studs standardised according to DIN, ANSI, MAS, JIS and ISO
  • reduced actuation forces for efficient spindle concepts
  • time-tested performance from fine machining to heavy-duty cutting

Many well-known manufacturers of machines and spindles have put their trust in the SSKV gripper for now 20 years, thereby contributing to a success story of which we are truly proud. We would like to thank our customers for their trust in us and look forward to many more years of innovative collaboration.
