From very small to very large, from fine machining to heavy-duty cutting
– our HSK grippers are true all-round solutions at the interface between tool
and machine. Since their birth, they have formed the base for the safe and
reliable clamping of hollow taper shank tools. Installed in countless
applications all over the world, they set exclamation marks in terms of user
friendliness, productivity and size with every further development.
We
would like to thank all our customers for their decades of loyalty and the
constant new technical challenges. Join us on a journey through time to the
various development stages of our HSK grippers. Let yourself be inspired by a
real success story and be curious about the following milestones.
today
High
product diversity for our customers: With changing market
and customer requirements, new products are constantly being created and
extending our HSK gripper family – and this has been the case for 30 years now.
2017
Small
but powerful: Miniature grippers for interfaces smaller HSK-E
20 expand the manufacturing possibilities in watch, jewellery and medical
technology. In the production of microtechnical components, they ensure greater
efficiency and energy savings.
2015
Create
space where it is needed: Our powerful HSK grippers enable the
realisation of extremely compact complete clamping systems for even greater
degrees of freedom in the machine room.
2013
For
shorter spindle lengths: Our designers develop force-amplifying HSK 63
grippers in compact design. The length advantage is over 30 % compared to the
standard, without any loss of performance.
2006
The
professional in heavy-duty cutting: At customer’s
request, a force-amplifying HSK 100 gripper with 75 kN maximum clamping force
is created. The main field of application is heavy-duty cutting, e. g. the
machining of turbine blades for the aerospace industry.
2000
Change
of times: The second generation of our force-amplifying
HSK grippers sets standards on the market. The design principle and the surface
coating make force amplification factors greater than 5 possible. The optional
holding function ensures even faster tool change times.
1997
Robust
power pack: Our gripper
with direct force transmission and short stroke for long-lived tool clamping
systems is extremely durable. It can transmit clamping forces that far exceed
the values specified in the HSK standard.
1993
Hour
of birth: The first BERG gripper for hollow taper shanks
is delivered. The integrated wedge gear multiplies the actuation force by a
factor greater than 3. It is available in two versions and can thus be used for
wet and dry machining.
