Tool Assist and BERGtronic at EuroBLECH 2022: A smart team for efficient and transparent production processes

At BERG Spanntechnik, we are continuously working on smart clamping systems to provide our customers with the best possible support for the digitalisation of their press facility.
Together with the Fraunhofer IWU, we have developed the intelligent tool clamp “Tool Assist”. The Tool Assist has digital monitoring functions with which condition, clamping process and production data can be monitored and retrieved. The sensor data is analysed and presented in parallel with the process by our evaluation software BERGtronic. This enables our customers to identify potential for improvement in their production more quickly and to detect process deviations before damage occurs to the workpiece.
At EuroBLECH in Hanover, we have now demonstrated the monitoring functions of the intelligent tool clamp live at our booth. The sensor-based recording of condition and clamping process data as well as possible disruptive scenarios was visualised directly via our evaluation software BERGtronic. In this way, many visitors were able to experience for themselves what an important contribution smart clamping technology can make to efficient, transparent and, above all, safe production processes.
